Make the Most of Reviews & Testimonials

Follow these tips to share your accolades with your current and potential clients!

#1. Share it on Social

The easiest way to spread the great feedback about your business is to post on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media sites.

Visitors to your social accounts who are considering using your service or buying your product now have a great reason to reach out to you for more information.

Action Tip: Try adding a call to action to the end of your shared testimonial such as: “Want to be as happy as this client? Give us a call to get started today!”

#2. Display Reviews

If you have an office or brick-and-mortar shop, it is a great idea to display testimonials right where people can see them.

  • Display testimonials in your office
  • Leave handouts or postcards in the lobby
  • Display reviews on walls

Just remember, when displaying your reviews, put them in high-traffic areas, and don’t be ashamed to do a little bit of bragging!

#3. Put Testimonials in Your Email Signature

Each time you send a business-related email, you could make a great connection. Take advantage of this opportunity and add a client review to your email signature. And while you’re at it, leave a link to your review page!

“Working with Charisma Communications has been great! The owner, Corin, has helped with our website SEO, social media ads, and video. She’s awesome to work with and gets things done right and is worth the money.”
-Aaron P.

#4. Make a Video

Reading what clients have to say about your business is one thing; really witnessing and hearing it is quite another. Creating a film with client testimonials is a great way to market your business, drive more people to your website or YouTube channel, and give your clients their 15 minutes of fame!

Charisma Tip: If you don’t have video clips of your clients sharing testimonials, you can create a quick video in Canva or another design app sharing a text-based testimonial with music and a few animations. Easy!

#5. Write a Blog Article

If you don’t already have a blog where you share tips and informative evergreen articles, what are you waiting for?! Blogs are a great way to share your knowledge and you guessed it, share customer reviews!

If you have a customer testimonial with a fun story behind it, such as the problem that you helped them solve, consider writing about it on your blog.

  • Give the background of your business
  • Why they came to you
  • The outcome of the situation

You can even stockpile these story-type blogs for weeks when you need something quick to share on your website or on social media.

#6. Share on Your Website

Many businesses have a customer testimonial page, sidebar, or footer where they share client testimonials. The advantage of keeping your testimonials in a permanent location is that you can reference them whenever you need to. Also, people who are showing interest in your business can simply find them too!

“Corin is a rockstar! She communicates clearly and quickly and puts 100% of herself into everything she does. Her SEO insight is so valuable, and blogs that she's written for our website are still showing up in organic searches years later! I highly recommend communicating with Charisma.”
-Krysten R.

#7. Ask Clients to Share with Their Network

If you take a photo of a complete project or service and have a review from a happy customer, share their story on your Facebook or Instagram, and encourage them to share it too. They will be excited to be highlighted and could become future brand ambassadors for your business!

#8. Feature Reviews in Marketing Materials

Apart from your website, consider using testimonials in your marketing materials. Though print materials might seem like a thing of the past, they are still important for business in our technologically advanced age.

Consider adding testimonials to:

  • Mailers
  • Brochures
  • Flyers
  • Postcards
  • Business cards
  • Newsletters

Just make sure that the marketing materials are engaging so people are drawn to your testimonials at first glance.

#8.5 Bonus: Ask for Permission

Here’s one more quick tip for you. Remember, if you want to share a customer’s personal story in conjunction with their testimonial, make sure to get permission from them first. Once you get the go-ahead share away!
